Welcome back from spring break! We hope you were able to get some much
needed rest.
Let’s make sure that we finish this last quarter out working hard just
as we have been all year.
The 4th
grading period starts today – this means that some of our 6th
grade students change their exploratory class. Did you find the right
class today?
You
deserved a break but now we have to refocus on school and learning.
State Math Assessments begin this week. It is easy to come back after
spring break and coast to the end of school, but we can’t do that!
There is still too much to be done to get you ready for next year and it
all starts with the State Math Assessment. Let’s focus on proving that
we are one of the best schools in Kansas!
Spring Pictures will be taken on Friday, March 24th. Mark
your calendars so you are prepared.
Thank you….Thank you….. Thank you! The Tornado drill for the following
halls went fabulous! A, B, C, & E halls. The students followed the
instructions and were able to complete the drill in a very timely
manner. We will have another drill in April and expect the same
fabulous behavior.
Congratulations to the boys and girls basketball teams for a great
season. The girls struggled but did end up winning one game more than
last year’s season. The boys went undefeated all season and came home
with the Division 1 City League Championship! Congratulations!
Congratulations to these NAL players for being recognized for their
tremendous work during this year’s NAL season: Jamal Samo for Most
Inspirational Player, Henry Elliott for Highest Scorer and Pam Saenz
for MVP of Third Quarter.
7th or 8th grade: Interested in running track?
Practice will begin shortly after spring break. If you do not have a
physical on file you will need to have one prior to practicing. Come
out and enjoy the great outdoors!
Doesn’t
it feel great when someone takes the time to compliment you, to tell you
that you're doing a good job, or that you look really great with you new
haircut? A nice compliment can make your whole day. Think about that.
Just a few kind words can make a person feel better all day long. The
authors of Life’s Little Instruction Book, recommend that we:
compliment three people every day. So the question for today is:
Have you noticed what a great job your teacher is doing? How hard a
classmate is working? How much your coach cares about your
performance? Next time you do, pass along a compliment. In fact, pass
along three compliments. You might help three people feel better all
day long. Make it a great day… the choice is yours |
